Last day of 2007. A meaningful time to blog, and also time for me to do some major reflection about my life again.
2007 has been a busy year, a year of new commitments.
First 2 and a half months in SAJC. I dont deny the fact that the feelings have faded away, but when i think of those days ive spent there, i cant help but feel a sense of nostalgia. In my mind, those memories are still wonderful (:
Made a tough decision on which school to go for JAE, crying out to God to show me where i needed to be: VJ or TJ. I guess it has all been planned out for me when i finally decided on TJ. Spent quite some time trying to adjust to the school, there were quite alot of complaining and everything, but still, ive sort of got used to this school, although im not quite satisfied till today, haha.
TJCO seems to be one of the few reasons i could smile in TJ. It was really really hard at the start, having to adapt to such a CO with high standards when i first came in, difficult choice piece for SYF. I had to practise myself at home every week just to catch up with the rest, and not forgetting having to catch up in my studies as well. It was so so tiring that only those who experienced it can understand. After all the hardwork and tears, Gold with Honours (!!) for TJCO, and also, our annual concert at SCH. Last but not least, TJCO comm`07/08 that makes me feel really happy and glad (:
Glamour starlight has changed my life in someway or another after my first duet with miaoru, haha. Never thought that i'll have a chance to sing in front of my cellgroup, my zone, eventually singing at a 3 zones' combined camp a few weeks ago and also going to be part of GT youth band. It has really opened up many opportunities for me that not many people can experience, and i really really thank God for using miaoru and i in such a special way (:
Joining choir ministry is also one of the most important aspects of this year for me, cos it has brought me to learn and see new things i never knew. Singing in choir also gave me joy that i couldnt find elsewhere. Where else can be a better place to sing, than in the house of God, to the greatest King of kings? (:
And of cos, 17/18 November that has brought a beautiful fullstop to many things :]
For me, 2007 is a year of surrendering all to Him, letting go of areas of my past, heart, emotions, studies, people and things that ive held on so long, friendships, time, responsibilities, and letting God.
How will 2008 be like?
Like what Pastor preached on sat, its time for a change in order to see something new. I believe 2008 will be an exciting yet busy year again, a year of stepping out. Also, im trusting God that next year, e432 will multiply, tjco will have an awesome concert, ill begin to see improvements in my studies, and also go up another level spiritually and in ministry. So what do all these mean? It means its time for action (:
Coming to an end of 2007 also makes me breathe a sigh of relief. Somehow i feel like im tired of this year and i need a brand new start, a different myself. I guess i really need to know how to prioritise things and manage my time in the coming year. Stepping into 2008 will mean many new challenges and once again, stretching myself greatly, but i hope ill be ready. 2008 shall all be mainly devoted to studies, tjco, church, ministry.
Before i end this year, and end this post, just wanna thank all the people who have been with me in 2007, especially e432 and my tj, tjco mates. Thank you for being part of this chapter of my life (:
Ironically, a part of me still cant bear to say goodbye to 2007. Sigh.
Shall come up with new year resolutions later on.
